Domo had some fun today. Dozer had to go to the vet because he had a rash. :( Poor baby! I came home with allergies, too. I can’t handle cats and cat hairs.

Afterwards, Dozer&Em came over to visit and Mochi finally warmed up to Dozer towards the end of the night.

DON’T JUDGE ME.

Dozer.

Since I didn’t include him in my last dog post, he gets a special one all to himself.

Stop it. I don’t want to hear that! Bring on some Reasonable Doubt please?!

Attended the Jay-Z show at UCLA on Sunday night. Pretty good performance by Jay. Eventhough I was a bit disappointed with his setlist. Coolest song was probably A Star Is Born, and it’s probably because of J. Cole.

I would’ve paid twice as much to attend his legendary New York concert a couple years ago commerating his 10th year anniversary release of Reasonable Doubt. How sick would that have been?? Maybe he’ll do one in LA for the 15th year anniversary?

Arrived early to catch J. Cole. I might’ve actually been more excited to see him…but when he came on, there were about 100 people in the crowd. I felt so bad for him. Nonetheless, the man killed it. AWESOME. He opened up with Dollar and a Dream, and moved on to Lights Please. <33

Soon after, Wale took the stage. If my memory serves me correctly, he started off with Nike Boots, headed over to World Tour, and of course, ended it with Chillin. Sigh.

For some reason, NERD got the crowd rockin’. They’re a bit weird, not sure if I liked ‘em or not. The part I did like though, was when Lupe came out during Everybody Nose. HOLLERRRRRRR!!!!!!!

So many surprise guest appearances, including Rihanna (pretty much her first performance after the whole Chris Brown affair), Pharrell, and Memphis Bleek. I was hoping for Alicia Keys. Didn’t happen. :(

Star-studded audience! Only notable NBA star there was Baron Davis. Heh. JT, Jessica Biel, Nicole Ritchie, and Jamie Foxx amongst other stars attended as well.

Anyway, here are some not so great pictures. The entire time, I was so envious of the folks w/ their cool media passes. I will one day be able to photograph H-O-V-A. And Lupe.

OH and by the way, I had to sneak my camera in. I didn’t realize we weren’t allowed to bring them in until this girl came back in line and attempted to hide her camera in her boots. Except, my Leica has a stupid lens sticking out of it and that would’ve been impossible. So, I opened up my jacket, stuffed it inside my left sleeve (near my armpit) and proceeded to walk nervously towards security. I couldn’t even put my arms down completely, but I knew I could use it to my advantage because the lady would eventually ask me to lift up my arms so she could run the metal detector all over. I win. Didn’t get caught.

The person that appears to have no face that you see above is Rihanna. And thats Memph Bleek in the first picture.

Okay, I’m going to cheat and use an old picture I took of Wale about 6 months ago.

Urrbody go cop Wale’s album droppin November 10: ATTENTION DEFICIT. Got a couple of cool tracks on it, a couple of radio jams. I was lookin’ forward to this album and was expecting a bit more after listening to his mixtape for a couple of months…but this guy has got a lot of potential besides “MY NAME IS WALE”.

I’ll reiterate this a couple more times: J COLE IS THE FUTURE. Watch out for him. Seriously. SERIOUSLY. Drake ain’t got nothin’ on this kid. Maybe if Drizzy Drake stops ‘freestyling’ off his BlackBerry, he’ll get the respect he seeks.

It’s been 24 hours and my left ear is still deaf/ringing/buzzing/i’mnotsureanymorebutitisn’tpleasant.

ANYWAY, JAY-Z. YOU ROCK. DECEMBER 4th, A STAR WAS BORN.

I’m screwed for work tomorrow, must sleep. GOOD NIGHT.

Yah, I basically wanted to look super classy and spell favourite the way British do. So just pretend like I’m narrating this entire post in a British accent. I’m from LAHN-DOHN, as my friend Jon would say.

So this morning, I made the trek over to Santa Monica College to visit Ed. Did you know that SMC’s photography program is only behind Art Center and Brooks (in the state atleast)?! Pretty amazing, especially for a junior college. I just wished Santa Monica wasn’t so far! A couple of friends and I had the pleasure of taking his class a couple of semesters ago. (Carol, I know you’re reading this!) He is extremely exciting in class and has such a kind and warm heart. Seeing him today made me really happy!

I’m planning on going back and taking one of his classes again. Hopefully his Holga class will get approved…I’ve been waiting for it for SO long. Anyway, we played around with flashes today right outside the classrooms. Pretty neat-o stuff.

Today, I had to bring Mochi to the vet. For the past couple of days, she’s been having diarrhea, but yesterday night, I found blood on the kitchen floor. At first, I thought it was that time of the year for Mochi, so I did my checks. Upon further examination, I discovered that the blood was not coming from where it should’ve been coming from (if ya catch my drift). Oh no, no, no. It was coming from her butt. She was crying and whimpering in pain and I was so worried about my little baby.

This morning, when I woke up, I rushed her over to the vet. 15 minutes after Mochi had been called, I walked out the door with a Mochi and a fat invoice totaling $239. Well, there goes the money I was planning on using for my macro. The vet looked at her, pressed her stomach a couple times resulting in some passing of odorous gas, took an x-ray, gave her 2 shots, some medication, and some ‘special’ food. Apparently, her intestines were just slightly inflamed. Or inflammed. If that’s even a word. I chose that word because the doctor gave her an”anti-inflammatory” shot, and I figured that would be the correct usage of the word in an adjective sense.

When I got home, Mochi was running around, wagging her tail, playing with toys like nothing was wrong. RIGHT. MOCHI, WHY DIDN’T YOU ACT LIKE THAT EARLIER. COULD’VE SAVED ME $239.

The only cool thing about today’s vet visit was this:

You see all those dark little spots inside Mochi’s intestines? Yeah, inflammation. And maybe some fart molecules.

Stupid Mochi.

Stupid, stupid Momo.

I love you, Mochi.
