Today, at work, we had a party. It was a mustache party.

I wasn’t invited.
Little Tokyo had their Cherry Blossom Festival this past weekend, and I had the pleasure of attending it. The day wasn’t as nice as I hoped it would be, but the event was nonetheless exciting. There were street vendors everywhere, selling everything from food (Dogzilla was there!) to home made trinkets.

This mini bowl of ramen is so cute! The Japanese really know how to make fake food look delicious.

Yoda in mini origami form. This thing was less than 1.5 inches tall. That’s some serious paper folding skills right there.

Hello Kitty showed up to the festival as well.

Dude this guy was the master at Brazilian jiujitsu.

One of the winners of the cutest dog contest!! This reminded me of Katsu in his sushi chef outfit!!

So. Clever.

Sneakerhead heaven.

Look at these nice Bapestas. Always wanted a pair but I can’t justify paying $300 for a pair of kicks. I’d rather spend it on a lens.
So the festival was pretty cool overall. However, it was a sad day. I wanted to eat Daikokuya, but the wait was 2 hours long. Then I almost bought a Domo shirt, but sadly they didn’t have it in my size. Later on in the day, I had my heart set on eating dinner at Kokekokko because I’ve been craving soboro rice for the LONGEST TIME. And then, when we got there, it was closed. On Sundays. I almost curled up on a street corner and cried. But I didn’t. Because there was a bum in the spot I picked out. FML.
Spent my quarter century birthday at Disneyland with Will. Hardly took out my Leica, I pretty much used my Instax Mini all day. I’ve never been on the ‘new’ space mountain. Pretty fun!! I do miss the electrical parade though. Too bad that’s not around anymore.

My big sis also gave me some delicious cupcakes from Vanilla Bake Shop out in Santa Monica. HEHE CUPCAKES <3

Had the pleasure of shooting Tier2, once again! This time, it was at the Shrine Auditorium!! They put on a sick ass show, per usual. I didn’t expect any less, of course.

Tae and Andrew tearin’ it up on the mic.

Next up was Verseatile, straight reppin’ Chi-Town. I’m diggin’ his jam “Let’s Take It Back”. Throwback joint, f’sho. Check him out.

It’s rare to see a female emcee, so I present to you, Shin-B.

Dude, Bhangra is so tight. These performers were really good!

Alright, so now it’s time for the headliners. First one up is the dynamic duo known as Leessang!

Next one needs no introduction, Mr. MC MONG!!! Dude, I don’t really know his music but he’s a really big deal in Korea, I’ve heard. But definitely, a really awesome performer. This guy knows how to put on a show. There was one point where he poured water on his head and then threw the rest of the bottle at the crowd. As I looked at him in horror, I quickly covered all my gear with my body to protect it from the water. Then I noticed all the other photographers around me doing the same. Pretty funny.

So all night, the only songs I could sing were the ones that Jay Sean performed. In case you need a reminder, baby are you down, down, down, down, downnnn?!

Space shoes prepare for takeoff.
