Rode the Bolt Bus from NYC over to Boston. It took us about 5 hours to get there because of traffic. We pretty much slept most of the way there. When we got to the station, Emmy met us there with a ZipCar! Pretty cool concept if you think about it. You go online, look for the closest ZipCar in your area, and rent by the hour.
The architecture in Boston is gorgeous. After spending some time over on the East coast, I’ve realized that LA lacks some serious culture. If I had guests visiting from out of town, I wouldn’t even know where to take them to show them what LA is all about. I’d probably just take them on food adventures…but that’s it. What else is there to do in LA?!
First night we got there, we headed to the Greatest Bar, as recommended by a friend. That place was wayyyyy too packed. So we made a quick exit and walked down the street to a restaurant. The Laker/Suns game was on that night and we had to catch the game somewhere.

Wifey and company decided to join us.

This is us on our way back to Emmy’s place. Empty subway/train thingymajiggy!

Called it a night, then woke up bright and early to catch wifey’s graduation.

At night time, wifey’s parents treated us out to some DELICIOUS grub at Legal Seafoods. This is where I experienced my first lobster roll. And all was good in the world.

Soft shell crab. I was watching Animal Planet the other day and they had a documentary on eating tarantulas. It looked similar to this. And supposedly tastes similar to soft shell crab. Now this picture creeps me out.

Wifey and the parentals!

Afterwards, we headed to Boston’s version of Fu’s Palace. I know you remember that place. You Asian sorority/fraternity affiliated person, you.
They had this thing called the Scorpion Bowl. It was pretty delicious.

This is me using my ninja chopstick skills to get a piece of ice with two straws.

My face blends in with the background.

After we left, we went to the airport to pick up Sarah. WHEEEEEEE!
Now a little bit of history of the upcoming day. Friday. Eastern Conference Finals, Game 6. The minute Boston beat Cleveland, I jumped online and purchased 6 tickets to Game 6, knowing that would be the only game I’d be able to catch while in Boston. When I left LA, things weren’t looking so good, as Boston was up in the series and we needed Orlando to win 2 games consecutively for us to have a Game 6. Everywhere I went, I wished in fountains that there would be one. And when we arrived, there was one.
First off, we explored Quincy Market for lunch.

Beautiful architecture.

The best part.

Bacon wrapped scallops. SO GOOD.

Lobster Roll.

We walked around the area and found Newbury Comics. The geek in me was very happy.

Headed to the Little Italy district for some desserts. Canoli’s, check!

Re-enacted what I thought was the Civil War, but apparently Paul Revere had nothing to do with that. Also hated on some Laker colored flowers sitting in the window sill.

Then, it was TIME.

Took a quick bathroom break inside a random building before getting into the TD. And look where we landed ourselves.
CELTICS HQ.

Once inside…

This nearly gave me a heart attack. But with all the fans chanting, “RONDO, RONDO, RONDO, RONDO”…he had to get up. And that he did.

“What is D-pound?”

VICTORIOUS!!!!!!! (Okay, please let me soak and bask in all that it’s worth. Leave me alone, jerk.)

Had a bit of trouble getting out of the garden…we were stopped by fans left and right because of two LAKER FANS traveling with us.

ITS GINO TIME!!

Yeah, we did it. We threw ‘em up. KAPPAS WHATTUP!

Midnight snacks after the game.

Next day…walked around the shopping district. I wanted to hit up Karmaloop and Johnny Cupcakes.

Had tickets to the Red Sox game vs the Kansas City Royals.

Sausage in your face.

Somebodyyyyyy got a wee bit sleepy during the game.

“Let me get a picture of the Lau’s and the Lee’s”
…….I was the only Lee…so I invited Gloomy Bear Lee to be in the picture too.

Dude, I just realized that random people were in all of our group pictures. -__-

Look at all these people. So ridiculous. I’ve never seen anything like this. I don’t agree with public transportation just yet.

We left for the airport at 4am. And snuck this into Emmy’s freezer.

It never felt so good to be home. These LA feet are not meant for walking.
Also, sorry it took so long for me to upload. Been caught up at work lately!
I’ve lived in LA pretty much all my life and I know we have papparazzo around…but I’ve never seen any til I was in NY! They were camping out to get a pic of Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, and Suri. We camped out with them for 20 minutes but we never saw them and didnt have time to waste.

Where Tom Cruise, Suri, Katie Holmes were supposedly at

Union Square for Shake Shack!
\

Ladies and Gents…I present to you, the Shake Stack. Cheeseburger topped with a deep fried portobello mushroom stuffed with cheese. OH. MY. GAH.

Headed over to the Shepard Fairey exhibit right afterwards.

Your typical Kid Robot store..

KAWSKAWSKAWS everywurr

Loved this Smorkin mustache dude.

\\

Dream come true…Leica gallery! So appropriate…didn’t take out my SLR so I had my trusty Leica with me all day.

SUPERDRY~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Supposedly the best za in the city. I beg to differ. Artichoke owns this place!

After dinner, Marisa took us to Cafe Habana for some bomb ass CORN!!!!!

Ended the night with some bridge adventuring.

Okay before I end the post with this last picture, I’d like to tell you a story about how wonderful my loving friends are. So we walk to this gorgeous place with a view of the water and the bridge and the city. I set up my tripod and am taking long exposure shots. Think 30 second shots. All of a sudden, I hear all my friends run away, but I’m still changing all my settings etc. I press the shutter, and stand around waiting for the shot to finish. Then I hear giggling from far away so naturally, I turn back to see what my friends are giggling about. As my head turns to my right, I catch a glimpse of a BUM sleeping on the bench about 2 feet away from me. And I’m about to scream but I don’t want to wake him up, and my shot isn’t finished. Once I hear the shutter click, I grab my tripod/camera and run like the wind as my friends laugh their asses off at me. I asked them why they didn’t tell me about the bum, and they said they didn’t want to bother me because I was apparently “in the zone”. -_____________________-;;

Perfect way to end the night.

This is what Justin Bieber would look like if he was emo.

We were pretty exhausted, so we didn’t stay to watch any of the headliners. If this was me back in my emotiff days when my hair ate my face and my favorite color was black, I would’ve been all over it. But the years bring weak backs and knees, and my energy level no longer caters to such high-adrenaline events. No more mosh pits, and definitely no more crowd surfing for me.
Em and I were starving afterwards, so we headed to Pizzeria Mozza. So. Delicious.

You can’t go to NY and not have some ‘za. So here is our experience. It happened twice because it was SO GOOD. Must visit Artichoke, right next to Sty-Town.

Took the subway to attempt to go to the Met Museum…and got lost for an hour. When we were finally on our way, we looked at the flyer and realized that it was closed. FAIL!!!
So we decided to go to the Natural History Museum…and it sucked. It’s a bunch of stuffed animals on display. Just like Jackie said. And they didn’t even sell any cool dinosaur souvenirs at the “Dinostore”, so B2 was outta luck.

My weight on the moonz0rz.

Watching Game 7 while I’m posting this…gazelle DOWN.

Afterwards, we decided to take a taxi to the NBA store. AWESOMENESS. We spent like an hour in there.

I wish we had time to go to the MoMa. But we didn’t, so we had to make due with our visit to the store. I wish I could live in a house that was entirely decorated by items from the MoMa store.

And of course….HELLO HALAL!

Wanted to buy some souvenirs so walked over to Chinatown. OMG 4.5 MINUTES LEFT AND WE’RE DOWN 6. GANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!

Apparently, NY doesn’t believe in trashcans. So we walked along trash-lined streets for our trip. It didn’t smell as bad as I would’ve imagined.

We walked over to Steph’s cousin’s place to visit Baby jack. Soooooooooooo cute! He was watching cartoons and just kept saying “bearrrrrrr…bearr!!! BEAR!”

And of course, we had to stop by the Ding Tai Fung of NY…Joe’s Shanghai! Had some green onion pancakes, deep fried shrimp, and soup dumplings.

We somehow stubbornly found our way to the right public transportation line and made it back to Stoy-vay-sent Town and hit up the market right outside of Jackie’s place. HEHE. I really liked these water bottles. A bit racist, but I bet an Asian person came up with this, so it’s okay.

Rested up a bit before we went to the NY version of Venice beach minus the beach. Fine, not even close, just the glass.

More Phil Lumbang!!

We ended the night with some Mr. Softee. YUMMMM.

Took a trip to NY to visit Jaykee, Liz, and Ji. Awesome time with wonderful company! Thanks for everything guys!! Also, you may have noticed that as my trip progressed, I got lazier and lazier and by the time I got to NY, my SLR was sitting back at Jackie’s apartment. I had my trusty Leica with me the rest of my trip. Also, Jackie thinks my Leica leather “satchel” (as she put it) looked “sooooooooooo…………….(I was thinking she’d compliment me on it but instead she ended her sentence with…) GAY!!!”
This is Jaykee working super hard to plan out what we should do.

I missed Baby soooooo much!! MOCHI MISSES YOU TOO!!

More planning by the awesome Jaykee Ten

First stop, BAGEL SHOP. So delicious. Lox on top of some delicious scallion cream cheese, toasted on a garlic bagel. YUM!

It’s the A-Z-N.

Phil Lumbang’s work was everywhere to be seen!

Took a trip to Chelsea Market and drank the best milk I’ve ever had. It’s gotta be on par with Taiwanese milk fasho. Coffee milk, please go try it if you ever get the chance!

Okay, I don’t understand how this works…someone please explain?

My dream come true. B&H is a block long and it’s pretty much like Fry’s but for photography equiptment <3 <3 Spent like an hour in there and did a bit of damage to my poor wallet
But I did come out super happy! Kid in a candy store status, no joke.

\

This ones for the BF. Yay Knicks!

BIEBERRRRRRRRRRR!

Times Square was way too crazy. So many people, and New Yorkers walk so fast. I pretty much felt like I was in everyone’s way and I had to move aside to avoid being trampled over.

We stopped by the largest Toys R Us I have ever laid my eyes on.

B2s getting lost in Times Square…uh ohz.

OMG CHEESECAKE FTW. So delicious. Junior’s Bakery is a must try.

Public transportation…still not used to how confusing and hectic it is.

Ended the night at Peter Luger’s. I wouldn’t say it’s the BEST steak I’ve ever had, but it was still pretty delicious. The bacon is definitely a MUST when looking at appetizers. OMNOMNOM!

Must sleep now, but I have many more pictures coming your way! I promise!!
First off, I’d like to say that I’m extremely proud of my wifey! She is a newly Harvard LAW GRADUATE and she FINALLY moved back to LA!
We went to Boston to visit her and join her in celebrating her crazy accomplishment!

Look at all of us taking a Harvard Law class. On this day we become legendary, everything we dreamed of. Look at how far we done came. Good mornin’!
